Existing Building Certification

The majority of properties on the market are between 20 and 40 years old. These buildings often offer a very high potential for optimization in a wide variety of areas. The certification of an existing building makes it possible to transparently demonstrate the building’s performance on the basis of which management measures can be categorized and implemented over the next few years.

We offer the two established procedures for the analysis of existing buildings (BREEAM Bestand, ÖGNI Blue Card) as a way of making it possible for owners to investigate numerous individual aspects of their properties and to categorize the measures which are required.

We offer the two established procedures for the investigation of sustainability (BREEAM Bestand, ÖGNI Blue Card). These analyze existing buildings in line with a range of individual criteria and categorize the necessary measures in a way that offers owners a clear overview of the work that is required.

Systems for the certification or declaration of existing buildings take the form of checklists of questions, most of which can be answered simply by owners. This will put them in the position to recognize the potential for the optimization of their property and to implement these in the form of a package of measures.

Existing Building Certification does not aim to replace due diligence but, together with due diligence, it offers a major opportunity to establish a basis for the valuation of a property.
