“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” (Nelson Mandela)
Following this motto, I specialized in digital planning methods for the design of sustainable buildings in my master’s degree program “Energy Efficiency Design (E2D)” at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg. For me, sustainability means not only the energy efficiency of a building, but also its material efficiency. I was particularly driven by the interactivity of the BIM planning method, which enables planners to develop buildings that meet today’s requirements of a networked and interactive world. Buildings today must not only meet the primary requirements of statics and weather protection, but should also be a place of well-being, security and safety for their users.
