I have always been fascinated by the subject of building and sustainability. After graduating with a degree in IT from the BHAK I had the opportunity to work for ATP Architects and Engineers in 2008. Due to the global climatic developments of recent years and the increasing scarcity of our resources, it was a personal concern of mine to become even more consistently active in the field of sustainable building, which was made possible by my move to ATP sustain in 2010. Initially I took on the tasks of assistant to the management and later also took on the commercial affairs. As buildings currently account for around 40% of global energy consumption and 25% of global CO2 emissions, the built environment is for me the key element in the fight against climate change, global resource scarcity and energy waste. Through my work at ATP sustain I would like to be an active part of a development which, according to the UN Earth Summit in Rio in 1992, “safeguards the quality of life of the present generation and at the same time gives future generations the choice to shape their lives”.
