Monika Ecker

Ever since my childhood I have had an intensive connection to nature, which I enjoy most when climbing and hiking in the mountains, windsurfing or playing beach volleyball.

This closeness to nature also led to my enthusiasm for trees – and thus for wood as a material – which led me first to the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences to complete my bachelor’s degree in wood technology and then my master’s degree in wood technology and management at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna. As a member of the ATP sustain team I am now able to apply and deepen my broad knowledge of sustainable building, LCA and especially building physics and thus create and intensify a professional interface with my private interests in the field of sustainability and (environmentally) conscious living.
