Theory vs. Practice

The theoretical results of research often spend 20 to 30 years gathering dust in university libraries before they are adopted by industry and implemented in practice.

In 2009 ATP architects engineers decided to establish the new research company ATP sustain as an incubator for precisely this area.
The major challenge for the team from ATP sustain is to translate theoretical ideas and results from the area of research & development into practically implementable material.
The ability to work as “translators” is thus the key to the successful application of the results of new research to both small and large and always interesting projects.
